Describe the installation you’re planning
Explain whether the work concerns individual rooms or ventilation across a larger part of the building. For a replacement, identify what is already installed and why you’re considering a change. For refurbishment, describe the planned layout and the stage the project has reached.
You may already have a specified system, such as mechanical extract ventilation or mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. Give its name and model if selected. If the system type is undecided, describe the requirement rather than choosing specifications for the enquiry.
Define the project boundaries
Useful installation information includes:
- The property type and London postcode.
- The rooms or areas included in the work.
- Existing ventilation equipment and known duct arrangements.
- Equipment or specifications already selected.
- Access limitations and whether the property will be occupied.
- Project timing and other work that needs coordination.
Mention removal of existing equipment, changes to finishes and making good separately. Identify relevant drawings or specifications you hold without uploading confidential files.
If existing equipment also needs attention, explain that alongside the installation. Our maintenance page covers information relevant to installed systems.
Discuss your installation project
State which requirements are confirmed and which need assessment. Don’t investigate concealed ducts or electrical equipment to complete your message.
